Grand Bottle Opening

Well I opened my bottle

And it will turn into this

My youngest daughter and I are hoping to go to New York for a few days at the beginning of March. Its pretty amazing how all that loose change mounts up and can turn into  a little break. It does help that she works for BA so we are getting it a bit cheaper.

Saving Money

Iv'e not been about as iv'e  been full of a cold.

I am doing this this year to help with next Christmas. I did it last year but didn't open it I put a £1.00 a day in a bottle and all the change out of my purse. We are thinking of having a little break in March so I will open it then to pay for that.

There are lots to choose from around the internet and other blogs.

If you do it good luck and happy saving.

Felling very lucky

I feel very lucky I was on my way to work yesterday at 07:15, I had just turned out of my road and gone a couple of feet when a drunk driver came out of nowhere and hit my car.

I really didn't know what had happened for a few seconds and then I had to try and get out of the car.
I got out and looked around still not realizing what had happened I could only see the parked cars I had hit as I spun out of control three times and the debris all over the road.

I went and sat on the pavement. At this point there were lots of people coming out of houses trying to  help me and contacting  the emergency services.

And then I saw the drives car on its side in a garden. He was trying to get out which he eventually did. He stood there saw what he had done and ran away.

He was found a little later by an off duty police man and arrested.

I spent the morning at the hospital I banged my head,And hurt my eye but its my good eye so I cant see properly. But I will be OK soon. Some people are not so lucky.

People really shouldn't drink and drive. The driver could have changed two families lives yesterday his and mine.

I really feel that god was sat in that car with me yesterday and  thank god that I am still here with my lovely family. xx

Deck the halls

We put our Tree up yesterday. Mr Tulip got called out to Lancaster to go and help those poor people who's homes were flooded. I couldn't quite get into the Christmas spirit of it thinking about all the poor people that would probably be homeless this Christmas due to these floods.

So I just put a tree up in the living room, I usually put one in the dining room and the hall. I will send the money I would have spent to a relief fund that I am sure will be set up soon.

Waste not want not

I hate wasting food. I was ill last week and didn't feel like going out. I was looking round the kitchen and gathered some vegetables together

This is the result a tasty health vegetarian  Bolognese
