I have just Thought we have lived here 15 years today and this is what made me buy this house, I stumbled across it by accident, the estate agent phoned and told me about another house on this road, I went to see it and it was beautiful with a hundred foot back garden and a stream at the bottom of the garden. But it didn't feel right so driving back down this long road I saw it for sale it was the windows I spotted first. I stopped the car and had a look in the letter box and knew then I had to have it.
I came to see it the next day and put an offer in there and then £10.000 below asking price well it had been empty 4 years, it was accepted and it was ours.
It's been a very happy house and I always pinch myself when i walk in knowing how lucky we were to find it.

We've been ours 10 years or so, and fell in love with the garden... we needed more space for the kids, so had to move further out to get that. Now, I love the peace and quiet compared to where we used to live, and the fact I can park outside my own house, which I never could before. x
similar to you donna - 4 years ago now - went to look at one on the same road which on the details was perfect but I walked in and it felt wrong - lady showing us round had the keys for this house and said she'd show us....it had a very small garden, 3 bedrooms and we needed 4 and a poxy kitchen!! But also had all original features - sash windows and the minute I stepped in I said - yes we'll have it!! (I was 8 months pregnant at the time so they thought I was hormonal lol!!)
So woodworm treatment, damp courses, replacement windows, kitchen extension, loft conversion, major decorating later...its perfect.
It sounds such a cliche I know but from the minute we moved in building site and all its felt like home!!
(sorry that was an essay!!)
