Merry Christmas

I forgot we managed to get the tree up last weekend. We painted the ripped wallpaper and  put it up. I can't keep waiting for the insurance to get there finger out. At least the tree hides all the damage.
We bought some lovely baubles in Liberty on our trip to London so had to put it up.

With doing that and trying to get everything back into the elar my back has given out. I have to call in sick yesterday. Go to the doctors for some medication that to be honest isn't working. I am sat here with so much to do.But I'm not going to worry about it

Because I've got the second series of the Crown o watch. I spent a lovely afternoon and evening lying on the sofa watching it. The pain is bearable in that position. I am really enjoying it. Just wish the queen would smile more!

5th December 2017

Well the engineers came yesterday with there cameras again to look at the drains. But this time they were bringing the BIG BOSS with them. My daughter who still lives at home told me not to let him go until he told me he was going to fix the drains. Or at least get his phone number, so he took ownership of this problem.
Anyway they found an anomaly!! basically that means water sat in and under the drain. So they are digging the paths up again and sealing them.

Lets hope they fix it this time. And I can get on with putting my house back together.

I don't know when I will get the time to do this I am on three nights this week and working everyday next.

On a brighter note I have just treated myself to this. With codes and Quidco I did really well with money off and free gifts

   And its not too early

I can't wait for all this mess to get sorted so I can have my house back to normal for a little bit.

Deck the halls

We put our Tree up yesterday. Mr Tulip got called out to Lancaster to go and help those poor people who's homes were flooded. I couldn't quite get into the Christmas spirit of it thinking about all the poor people that would probably be homeless this Christmas due to these floods.

So I just put a tree up in the living room, I usually put one in the dining room and the hall. I will send the money I would have spent to a relief fund that I am sure will be set up soon.

Finished Work

Finished Work

Well that's work finished until Thursday..... I went in yesterday and walked into a mountain of food and presents, all had been donated by local churches, and charities working with the homeless.

It took us all day to sort through it all and give it out to the families who will be accommodated  with us over the Holidays.

We have kept some back in case we have an emergency.
It still amazes me how generous people are. I should have took photos because really you can't imagine how much had been delivered to us .

We had just finished. And sat down to a cup of tea when the door bell  went and MORE  TOYS   arrived.

The children were very excited seeing all these presents wrapped up and getting delivered to there flats..
We had to tell them them Santa could only get in reception. They seemed to believe us.!!

And the look on there little faces was worth all the back breaking sorting and parceling.....

Merry Christmas to all my blogging friends!!

New year new start

Well it's been a whole year nearly since I blogged. In that time I have stopped smoking, learnt to swim and put lots of weight on. Been ill most of the year with colds and flu I even had a cold in Santorini in July. Whats that all about.
So this year I am going to lose this weight ( I am going to join a gym) and walk more, eat a more health diet.

I am going to empty my freezer and store cupboard before I go to Mr T's again, there is only three of us at home, Tash is busy being a student in Stoke most of the time, so I think I will set myself a challenge to use it all up and set myself a budget of £20.00 a week for bread, milk, veg and fruit. I think I have enough food in the house to last all of January anyone care to join.
