Summer ramblings

I haven't posted anything because I got back from holiday and went straight back to work. My holiday seems along time ago now.

Because of the hot weather we have decided to put off finishing the garden until later in the year when it's a bit cooler.

It looks like a waste ground out there. Oh well it gives me time to plan the garden and have a good look round pinterest.

We have had  a quote for the loft conversation and are probably going to start it in October. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We have been looking at going away again in September. We are thinking of going back to Santorini. I love Santorini it's so peaceful there. 

New windows

Our windows were finished yesterday. We had been waiting  for the leaded lights to come back. They had to be sent away to get incaptialated.

 I am very impressed with them. They have all been repaired and re leaded ready to sit there for another 100 years.

We are waiting for the door now. They have taken the glass and that's all being repaired and re-leaded

We are nearly done. 

The Floor went in over the weekend

The floor went in and a little more painting got done.

It should all be finished this time next week. Thank god 

A little break from the house

I really needed a break from all this dust mess and disorganisation!!

So my eldest daughter Jade took me out to see Miss Saigon. My mum's been telling me how good it was for years and for the bits I was awake for it was.

I was bone tired and because it was warm and dark I drifted off for a couple of minutes.

Geoff cracked on with the house wile I was out.

Coving repaired and paper on the wall. 

The first coat of paint 17/04/2018

 The first coat went on yesterday. Custard cream 

 Pudding sat supervising

 Everything arrived at once. The Kitchen the fridge, cooker and radiators.

 He managed to get paint on him.

16/04/2018 A weekly update

We spent a few days in London last week and left the builders too it.

 A bit of sight seeing and a trip to the theatre to see Tina the musical

The new windows went in yesterday and the walls finally came down. Hopefully not too longer now.
