Garden project

After the house we have now started on the garden. |We were going to wait until we got back from Greece but it really needed doing.

We are only doing the patio area. The lawn and beds can wait a couple of weeks until i'm back to look after them while they get established.

It still looks like Steptoes yard

New windows

Our windows were finished yesterday. We had been waiting  for the leaded lights to come back. They had to be sent away to get incaptialated.

I am very impressed with them. They have all been repaired and re leaded ready to sit there for another 100 years.

We are waiting for the door now. They have taken the glass and that's all being repaired and re-leaded

We are nearly done.

Hoarding/ Car booting

Well  I have started to unpack and  put all my little treasures  back in the dining room/ kitchen. I haven't missed them  since they were packed away so I sorted a good few out and took them here yesterday.

And managed to make £150.00 not too bad really seeing as the weather forecast said heavy rain and I was going to sack it and take it all to the chazza.

Not many people turned out either because of the forcast.

I am going to go through my wardrobe and take all that. I need new clothes now after loosing a few lb's

Sofa shopping

We did go sofa shopping on Saturday. We went all over I had set my heart at one in Loaf who fortunately for me had just opened a new show room in Wilmslow. I love the pudding sofa.
It looks so comfortable and squashy.

It was massive!

I couldn't have it it was so big, even the smaller one was too big 😥

We went to all the usual sofa places they were all too big and not what I wanted.

Then I remembered a little shop I went to at Christmas time.

I walked in and there it was, The most comfortable sofa i have ever sat on.

I have had to put throws on the arms because the cats think it's a diving board.

And I had to bring this little gem home with me.

I am so happy it's all finished and furnished.😍

And then we did this.

Because we are a little fed up of talking about the house.

4 weeks today 😍😎

Good news

Well I got an email from the insurance company last night and after my complaint about the loss adjusters the insurance company decided in my favour. And are paying out for the damage the flood did to the kitchen floor.

So some good news for a change.

Currys also agreed to pay the second installation fee I had to pay when I exchanged my cooker.

Sky are coming out this morning and looking at the damage one of there engineers did to my bricks when they moved the cables.

And these loose wires they left hanging.

The Fire is being fitted next week so hopefully all will be finished soon.

Painting cupboards

The dining room is coming together now. Hopefully by the end of next week everything should be done.
The windows are being fitted at the front next week. The blinds are being finished and the cornice at the end of the kitchen is being fitted.

Geoff can put my shelves up then and I can get the boxes emptied that have been in the cellar.

I am really going to go through it all and take it to the car boot.
