Cellar first coat of paint

We have decided to just go ahead and paint the cellar. If we wait for the insurance company to respond to us about the drains, we will be waiting forever. I spent 3 hours on the phone to them yesterday being passed around to different people. They arranged to come out today while I was here to reassess the drains and show me on the camera. They sneakily came yesterday while I was in work. OH well they will just have to come back.

First coat on. I will have to contact the flooring people and delay them coming.

On  a brighter note in all this mess and chaos, I decided to wrap some presents. 

   And its not too early 

I can't wait for all this mess to get sorted so I can have my house back to normal for a little bit.

Cellar update part 2

The cellar got plastered last week 

As you can see all plastered. 

Saturday night and it starts to rain. The water finds a new way in. The drains are still not fixed properly. I an sick and tired of talking to the insurance company about the shoddy workmanship of the companies they keep sending out.

They are sending another drain company out to correct the work of the other one.Heres hoping we can have it done for Christmas.
