Tad-Dah the drawers reveal

Tad-Dah The drawers

Here are the drawers with two coats of paint, Farrow and bBall Dimity.  The castors and the handles cleaned of paint. Who paints things without taking the handles off ?.

I wont use this particular paint again I really don't like it, I much prefer a chalk paint but that was all I had in.

Recycling

Recycling

I needed a new lamp shade as the the one I did a few years ago was looking a little tatty. So I took two napkins a little glue and Tad-dah

recycling

Then I had to nip out and look what I found on the road. It even has it's original Bakelite handles. I have just given it it's first coat of Farrow and Balls Dimity.

Painted Furniture

Painted Furniture

I was looking for something to hang coats in and hide bags and shoes in the hall. I can across this for £20.00 in this  charity shop.
http://www.thewesley.org.uk/

I use it a lot for work and like to help them out as they work with the homeless.

I forgot to take before pictures. I used Creamery from the little Green paint company.

Back to work

Back to work

Well I went back to work this afternoon. I am so tired after all the celebrating We had all  the extended  family round on Christmas day. My eldest daughter called round to drop presents off and open hers. She wanted to spend Christmas with her partner and make her own dinner for them, as it was there first Christmas in there new home.

I have joined a challenge I want to de clutter the spare room. This room is going to be my craft room, so I must, must, must de clutter it.
  • I want to empty my freezer and my cupboards I really don't need to shop until at least March 2013 I have a food mountain in that kitchen
  • I am going to put one of these
in my sealed pot every day along with all my other loose change. I did that last year and managed to save quite a bit.
  • I want to start crafting again. I kind of stopped when I had an operation on my hand and got out of the habit. I have lots of half finished projects to complete.
  • I want to do more of this

Thank You Caroline Lace Threads

I have been busy doing this today, this statue was destined for the CS, my mum keeps bringing me stuff that she thinks I like and to be quite honest I hate most of the things she brings me, so with a little present from Lace threads a scrummy packet of tissues I decided to do this, because she has got a pretty face and now a pretty dress. what do you think.

Shabby dining room /not chic

As promised before pictures of my shabby dining room, I have been working hard all weekend with my daughters to chic it up we are still busy doing it so may post pics tomorrow of the finished room.
