Tad-Dah the drawers reveal

Tad-Dah The drawers

Here are the drawers with two coats of paint, Farrow and bBall Dimity.  The castors and the handles cleaned of paint. Who paints things without taking the handles off ?.

I wont use this particular paint again I really don't like it, I much prefer a chalk paint but that was all I had in.

Recycling

Recycling

I needed a new lamp shade as the the one I did a few years ago was looking a little tatty. So I took two napkins a little glue and Tad-dah

recycling

Then I had to nip out and look what I found on the road. It even has it's original Bakelite handles. I have just given it it's first coat of Farrow and Balls Dimity.

Shabby dining room

I have been looking at blogs and my dining room is shabby, Not chic just plain shabby. So on Thursday I finish work for 5 days, do you think that's long enough to shabby it up. Pictures to follow. I have made a list, and I am going to tick it off as I go along

Thought i would resurrect my blog

Thought i would resurrect my blog, I don't know why I haven't posted for so long. My grandma would have been 100 today, if she were still alive. She died 5 years ago, she was a wonderful funny lady, who taught me allot.
I got to thinking about her on Saturday as I was sat making a patchwork quilt, the green fabric reminded me of an old eiderdown she used to have.
I wish we still had it it was really warm and snuggly.
Here's a picture of the quilt not yet finished
